Current SBTPG-listed rates: New York—2.20% for checks of any amount; Illinois—rates vary by check amount; Arizona, California, Indiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Ohio, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Texas, and Wisconsin—3.99% for checks of any amount. SBTPG states there is no check-size limit at PLS. Most locations are open 24/7; confirm directly with the store.
At participating locations, the listed cost is or less for checks up to ,000 and or less for checks over ,000. The general check limit is up to ,500. State restrictions apply: SBTPG notes no Walmart check cashing in New Jersey or New York, a ,000 limit in Connecticut, and a ,999.99 per-person daily limit in Florida.
